Gathering Memories

This Easter has been different than in years past. This was the first Easter Sunday that I celebrated without my parents in town. Which, until today, did not seem like a big deal but it was.

I woke up this morning and realized I didn’t have plans and didn’t have the desire to make them either. Which is not like me and frankly very frustrating but sadly the truth. Thankfully, I have the most wonderful children who loved the Easter Baskets that the discovered this morning and hunting Easter Eggs was low on the list. They just wanted to hug mom and dad while we told them of Jesus’ Resurrection and what that means for us and then play outside for awhile.

All in all it’s been a great day. God, we thank you for your sons sacrifice and even if our days don’t go they we plan they can still be wonderfully devoted to you. Amen 🙏
