Have you ever heard the saying, “Out of the mouth of babes?” Monday I was given an example of this in its purest form.
I have been struggling with my co- worker lately. She is a good nurse but there are times when she should ask questions and she won’t, she would like to be the lead and there is no need in our department since we only have two nurses and it would be ridiculous. Also, when I know she is frustrated or just plain mad at me and I know we need to talk it out. When I ask her about it, she will deny she’s mad.
It’s hard to work with this. She is a not a bad person but she is not being honest and it is straining our work relationship. I really hate it and want to address it but how do you do that when the other person keeps denying it?
Anyway, Monday was a difficult day and by the time the end of day came I needed my home and family. God works in the most wonderful ways because when I walked in the door, Kayla gave me a picture that she had drawn that day. “Mom it’s you with angel watching over you.”
I knew then, again, that God was hearing my prayers of frustration. That he sees me at work and has that covered too. Kayla’s picture is now in a place of honor at my work.
Oh that we have the heart and minds of children everyday.
