Shook Me Up

Do you ever get news that just shakes you to the core? It’s unexpected and just in your face? That happened to me yesterday and it rocked me to pieces. I can’t say what the news was just yet but it was sad.

I was thankful to be at work and have a distraction and even then there were moments of just sadness. In those moments I stole away and prayed and asked for the Lord to be at the center of it all and to just surround everyone with his love. I always walked from those prayers knowing he as in control and even though I had no answers it was going to be okay.

Today I woke up with a lighter heart and a hope that in those times of complete shock that rocks our souls we have a God who is in control and watching over it all.
