Royal Watcher

Okay, I will shamelessly admit that I have become a royal watcher/follower since Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May. I’ve always keep a little bit of an eye on the Royals “across the pond” because apparently we are distantly related and it’s the House of Windsor, they are quite interesting.

Queen Elizabeth II is now the longest reigning monarch. Prince Charles, the next in line to the throne is not looked upon favorably by the English people and then you have his sons Prince William and Prince Harry. The are loved by the people along with their wives, The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex. It’s a real life soap opera!

They are more in the spotlight now than ever with Prince Williams’ family growing and Prince Harrys’ wedding. Life is booming and the English people are not afraid to show their support for the younger generation. Who can blame them!!! Those kids are adorable!! Prince George and Princess Charlotte (we haven’t seen Prince Louis much yet but he is adorable!!!) so full of life and just pure joy and fun. Now they are watching the Duchess of Sussex (Meghan) every step of the way. Some of it is annoying (like her dad and half-sister crap) but she is happy in her new life and Prince Harry is too! They are always smiling and carefree. It shows a side of the Royal family that has rarely been seen.

It’s not hard to understand though why the English people would prefer Prince William over Prince Charles. Prince Charles cheated on the beloved Princess Diana, divorced her and then married his lover. While Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have a solid marriage, three adorable kids and they support the Queen in her role better than her own son has ever done.

When the Queen finally dies because that is the only way she is letting her throne pass it’ll be an interesting “changing of the guards” so to speak. It’ll be worth watching and seeing if Prince Charles will abdicate his throne to his son or take the throne and run the risk of losing a lot for the monarchy. See real life soap opera!!!!
