One thing I’ve noticed lately is how suspicious people have gotten. Nobody believes that people can actually do things for others without an ulterior motive. It’s a little nuts.
I was once told that people don’t think about us nearly as much as we think they do. I find this to be very true. I was helping an older lady the other day with her coat and she waited after I was finished as if I was going to ask her for payment. When she realized I was just being kind she said thank you and left. I sent a friend request on Facebook and received an almost instant reply of “who are you and how do you know me?” It’s like people are protecting government secrets.
I just don’t understand it. I get protecting your family and wanting to maintain privacy but you don’t have to be rude or even a little insane about it either. The world is not out to get you. Most people never even think about your daily lives!!! Just be kind and considerate when people help you and maybe a little less in the defense about everything. Agreed?
