Croup, for those of you that are unfamiliar with it, is a virus and in kids they develop a nasty cough. The cough is distinctive in it sounds as you believe your child has turned into a barking seal.
If that’s not horrible enough when that barking seal sound becomes even more concentrated you know your child is struggling for breath your heart goes into your throat and time stops.
I spent most of 1-2:30am this morning sitting outside with my littlest baby girl letting her breath in the cold night air and breathing sighs of relief when I heard her no longer struggling to breath. This mom stuff is not for the faint of heart. Never do I ever want to lose a child. For those of you who have experienced this loss you have my sympathies.
