Our students are going back to school today. It’s going to be a very hard day for them, their parents and this community but I know all of us can work together to make this okay.
I know this because I’ve lived in Bend all my life and this town has always pulled together and done everything to help others in need.
We will help the families who are struggling and we will stand by those who are hurting and will we love those children who need the extra support. Bend Strong is not just a saying it is a truth. We are a people dedicated to helping others.
So as our children go back to school, pray for them today. Pray that they don’t see the terrors of last week but the joys of a new a week. The joy of seeing friends again and what the future has to hold.
