In October we said goodbye to our 17 year old kitty, Lily. She obviously lived a long life and we loved her immensely.
Our daughter, Kayla is the one who took care of her the last few months of her life and after Lily passed she really wanted a new cat, especially a kitten. Kayla has had a hard time in school the last few years and unfortunately she has suffered from depression as well. She has a therapist and things are going pretty good but a kitten would bring a new energy into the home and hopefully brighten up Kayla’s life too.
This last Friday Kayla and I went looking for kittens and we happened to look and the Bend Pet Supplies store. They happened to have several kitties about 9 months old and they all were adorable!
I immediately loved a boy kitty named Midnight but Kayla looked at all the kitties and landed on a female named Patooti. She is a tigger striped kitty with the sweetest personality.
Kayla definitely picked a good kitty to bring home and she decided to change her name to Iris. Which fits her so well. Our other cat Lyra and her have been sniffing each other but no sparks have flew and they just leave each other alone, thank goodness!!!!
So welcome to the family Iris. We love you already.
