Walking On A Wire

December 26, 2020 was my 3 year anniversary in Asthma and Allergy. It actually passed by without me even noticing. Of course, my anniversary almost did this year to so that’s really not surprising given the last year we had. However, you would think at 3 years I would have felt some sense of accomplishment and pride and excitement at the challenges ahead.

In truth, I have been rolling around the idea of leaving my position for awhile. I love my patients and my co-workers and I always have a great time but I’ve felt like maybe I need a new challenge and a new area to learn and grow. If there is one thing I’ve learned as a nurse, you don’t want to stop learning. Even if it means leaving a comfort zone.

So after weighing soooooooo many options and driving my whole family crazy, okay mainly my husband but he’s used to it (Love you honey!!!), I put in for two very different positions yesterday morning. They are still with the company I am with but it’s still a change and it’s a little scary but at the same time exciting to think of what new challenges might be ahead of me.

So here is to new futures and new adventures and learning how to walk on that tight rope wire that makes your heart beat faster!
