OnWard Good Woman

Friday nights in our home are usually a very quiet affair. Mike has to work, so it’s usually me and the girls trying to find some entertainment for the girls and I in the evening.

Usually, it is rewatching our favorite Disney movies, but with isolation happening around the world Disney Plus has pushed some new movies out like, OnWard.

Tonight, we were able to watch it and this mom loved it. I will not spoil it for anyone but it’s about a boy who turns 16 and for one day he and his older brother can see their dad by a magical spell. It doesn’t go just right and it leads the brothers on a quest. It’s funny, sad and in the end beautiful.

As we watched the end of the movie, with tears streaming down my face. My girls jumped in my lap, hugged me close and we all reminded each other that we love on another with no strings attached.

There have been times when I wondered if I missed anything by becoming a mother so young and then these moments happen and none of it matters.

Family is all that matters in these times. Holding each other close and remembering that sometimes what we are searching for has been in front of us all along.

Sleep sweet my friends and be safe. ❤️
