Lately, when I’ve had a little down time (so almost never) I’ve been going online and reading through famous quotes. Just like anything, some make you think, others make you laugh and some you can do without ever knowing.
I stumbled upon one this morning though that made me think and I wanted to ask you, my audience, a question.
What does the greatest wealth look like to you?
Is it people living in mansions and jet setting around the world at the drop a hat? Never having to worry about anything financially? We have plenty of reality TV shows on now days to show us what that life looks like.
I have to admit in my twenties I was pretty sure that wealth was exactly that. As I’m getting older though my view is changing. Wealth to me looks like a family that is happy, healthy and loved. It doesn’t matter if you have all the money in the world because if you don’t have love in your home and you haven’t learned how to be happy with nothing then really are wealthy?
I think Plato said it best, “The greatest wealth is to live content with little.”
