How many of you remember or still use the daily desktop calendars? I had moved away from them for years until I went to work for Allergy & Asthma. I found that a funny dog shaming or cat facts daily calendar really brought a smile to our patients faces. Let’s face it, we employees love them too.
What’s even funnier is the facts that you discover while you read them. Did you know that the British Government actually employs over 100,000 cats? They even had an honorable position for one cat in particular. David Cameron’s cat, Larry. He was Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office. Even after Cameron left he stayed on with Theresa May!
There was also a cat librarian in Iowa from 1988-2006. He was named Dewey Readmore Books. An official cat librarian at the Spencer Public Library that apparently was quite the attraction. People from all over the midwest came to see him and pet him while going through the stacks.
I’m sure that I could drop many more astounding true facts on you about cats and I actually have some really good ones about dogs, but did you know that the national symbol for Ireland is the Celtic Harp and that Ireland is the only country in the world to have a musical instrument as its national symbol? Yeah, like I said neither did I. So cool when you discover these little drops of information.
Educate and at the same time have a laugh. Nothing better than that in my book. So next time you want to find something to make you laugh and you need some ideas grab a daily calendar. They are a source of never ending fun.

I use a wall calendar still in my house. So everyone knows what’s going on. But it’s not a fun ad yours sounds. 😂

I think I’ve seen some wall calendars at Barnes & Noble with trivia on them as well.
